OSRAM SYLVANIA is committed to developing lamps and ballasts that ultimately create innovative products that exceed customer expectations. Our products are designed to deliver the assurance of quality to our customers that comes from focused, innovative engineering and manufacturing. Our unique solutions appeal to a variety of customers, including the following types of companies and industries: Commercial, Retail, Display/Optic, Industrial, Original Equipment Manufacturers, Automotive, Machine Tool, Mining and Aerospace.
The General Lighting business unit has five sales channels. The Industrial Commercial group markets a wide variety of SYLVANIA lamps and ballasts, which are sold to industrial and commercial customers through a nationwide network of independent electrical distributors. Consumer Products sells SYLVANIA household lamps through retail stores to residential customers. The Special Markets channel is responsible for specialty manufacturers and distributors, other manufacturers, and export while the OEM, or original equipment manufacturer, channel sells lamps and ballasts to fixture manufacturers.
The fifth sales channel, SYLVANIA LIGHTING SERVICES CORP., provides preventative maintenance and energy management programs for indoor and outdoor systems in stores, office buildings, warehouses, factories and other locations.
